Meet Janet!

Janet is the face, the talent and the personality behind Forget It Not Designs.

Back in 2000, Janet travelled to Australia as a backpacker from the UK. While here, she played in a brass band in the Barossa Valley, blowing her horn (yep, literally, blowing her horn!). It was here that she met the love of her life Eric, whom she married a couple of years later. Eric and Janet set up their little love nest on the outskirts of the Barossa, where you can still find them today, along with their two Beagle and one tabby furbabies.

On the odd occasion that they aren’t around, chances are they are out in their 4wd and caravan, as camping is a much loved and valued hobby of theirs…. And YES! They even take the dogs with them… I am not sure if the horn accompanies them!

From a very early age, Janet always loved crafts; anything to keep her hands and mind busy. Her first bag was a simple tote style bag which was made for a  friend. Since then her bags have progressively got more complex in design as she has tapped into what one can only call a natural born talent.

Not only is Janet passionate about what she does, but she also has an incredible flair for matching fabrics and textures to create a quality bag that is always one of a kind. She makes them from start to finish and you can be assured that no corners are cut in the manufacturing process.

In 2023 Janet was lucky enough to be chosen as an ambassador for Karma East clothing, so you will often see photos of her modelling their beautiful clothes and teaming them up perfectly with her stunning bags. Occasionally you will even get a glimpse in the photos of the beloved and wacky personality that those close to Janet cherish.
